LAPLAND ACTIVITIES

Northern Lights Adventures

Northern Lights Village (aka. Wilderness Safaris Saariselkä) is a specialist provider of northern nature experiences. On our Aurora Expeditions, you get to travel over the fells and frozen wilderness ponds in a heated sleigh and experience the Northern Lights in an unforgettable way, without sacrificing comfort.

You see the fells painted blue by the dusky polar night and the snow covered forests, humming silently. You meet reindeer herders and pet the reindeer, conquer the fells in snowshoes, enjoy the pure delicacies of Lapland by a roaring fire, and drive a snowmobile or dog sled through the shimmering spring snowdrifts.

The experience was one of the best we had in Finland and I would definitely recommend Wilderness Safaris.

On our trip to Lapland, out of a few excursion companies we used, I can honestly say Wilderness Safaris was by far the best!
Just perfect! I would do that week again the exact same way.

BEST COMPANY FOR AURORA HUNTING!

We did a Aurora Hunting by car to Lake Inari. The weather was snowing, weather about -15 and all of us were seated around the campfire getting warm having sausages and tea. We knew that the visibility won’t be great on a snowy day and didn’t get our hopes up high on seeing the lights. As we were about to leave, the lights appeared and danced above us. It was so beautiful. Our camera didn’t work as it was not powerful enough (focus and Iso not high enough). But luckily the photographer managed to take photos of us with the lights. It was amazing!!
Thank u Steven for entertaining us with his stories and jokes and Kaj for capturing those lights on photos.
I highly recommend this!! If anyone wants to hunt Aurora lights, go with this company. No guarantee on seeing the lights but at least they know where to bring you and you get a better chance going with them.
